Volunteer
Project Bridge volunteers are crucial to the success of Project Bridge.
In 2024, over 50 adult and teen volunteers helped us bridge the summertime gap for first, second, and third graders in Henry County.
Information sessions
Learn more about volunteering with Project Bridge at one of our Information Sessions:
Tuesday, April 8 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 13 from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.
Tuesday, May 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Teen Volunteers Meeting: Tuesday, May 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Information sessions will be held in Room 101 at Paris First United Methodist Church, 101 E. Blythe St., Paris, TN 38242
The Teen Volunteer Meeting will take place in the 2nd floor classroom next to the church office.
Volunteer activities
Choose how you want to help during our summer program. We meet Tuesdays through Fridays.
Assist a child with reading.
Drive church vans to transport children to/from Project Bridge.
Assist with serving breakfast/lunch, provided by school system.
Lead children in group play and physical activities (e.g., yoga, dance, parachute, hula hoop, and jump rope).
Help interns with social and emotional learning activities (e.g., arts and crafts, science experiments, and games).
Perform in puppet shows to reinforce social/emotional themes.
Find and teach songs that reinforce the character traits included in the program.
Lead the children in yoga or another group exercise during recreation time (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

Please note, all volunteers must submit to a background check.
In-Person Drop off at Paris First United Methodist Church, Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 3 p.m.
